McLaren, Senna, Lewis, Jenson and Monaco

Cars

If you’re at all interested in cars and motor racing, you probably caught the best edition of TG ever a few weeks ago: the one where Lewis Hamilton finally got to drive his hero Ayrton Senna’s Mclaren MP4/4.
Well, check out the video below of Lewis and teammate Jenson Button grooving on their team’s garage full of bygone F1 missiles. It’s truly great to see how genuinely stoked these guys are on what they do.

Check out also Senna’s preternatural pole position lap performance at Monaco in 1988. Just stunning.

  1. Pedant alert – Quick correction. It looks like that Senna lap is 1989, not 1988 – its an MP4/5 and number 1 on nose shows senna as reigning champion….

senna is God as far as i’m concerned,it’s my biggest regret not seeing him race live or meeting him, after all this time since he died i still find it hard he’s not with us any more, senna is the greatest F1 driver ever.

  3. Fantastic footage the best driver ever in F1 still see the images of that fatal accident have you got footage of Mansel over taking at Silverstone propper racing those were the days

Nice to see the two young World Champions remembering the Old Monaco Master. I wonder how they [Jenson and Lewis] would handle the likes of the MP4.5 and MP4.6 in a race scenario.
