Pininfarina x Ferrari

Cars

There’s probably no other more powerful collaboration in the world of car culture than that which has existed between Pininfarina and Ferrari. For 60 years the design company has been responsible for the majority of the Ferraris we know and love – and have lent the marque a distinctive dash of technologically exact design flair. Last year at the Marenello Ferrari Museum, some of the most interesting examples of this intertwining of engineering and design aesthetics were gathered together. You can still catch up with the rump of the exhibition at the Pininfarina Mueum – and you can find out all about the details of the collab here.

Out of all of the gathered exhibits, we really love the amazing Pinin – a four door concept produced for Ferrari in the mid seventies. The 400 obviously developed from this idea- but we would have loved to have seen this stunning four door on our top trump cards. The original concept for the BB series is classic seventies futurism too – and there are couple of fistfuls of absolute classic material at the museum for the automotive Italiophile.

If you’re in Italy this summer, it’s a must see.
