"For some reason, somehow, my oldest friend had one of these for his first car. Quite inexplicable, really. He wasn't a rich kid. His dad helped him out, sure - but it wasn't the sort of family who did flash "
Alpina 2002Tii Series Touring
We love orange.
And we love the 2002 Tii. And we also love the otherness of the Alpina badge – a twisted version of the workaday beemer brand that always throws a quantum of otherness into the mix.
The ‘Touring’ version of the 2002 tii is more of a coupé – and it’s certainly not the ‘sportwagon’ style of souped up estate that the modern day beemer corporation calls its station wagons.
Produced in 1973-4, this orange machine has won out hearts – and with 135 HP coming from a weber carbed straight four:
it would be a ton of fun on the twisties.
