Toyota FJ Cruiser

Cars

We’re as bad as everyone else.

Soon as the price at the pump begins to feel a little more reasonable our thoughts turn to wether or not that longed for purchase of a V8 is really back on the agenda.

But strangely, after our recent editorial trip to Tokyo its a V6 that’s got us hankering for an automotive behemoth.

Yes that’s right, Toyota’s retro styled FJ Cruiser seems to us to make perfect sense. They are unique, quiet, relatively economic and you hardly see them on the streets of this sceptred Isle. It’s a way to get a slice of super reliable slice of Japanese design and engineering genius. The fact that they were never meant for the UK market makes us love them all the more: and it looks like this will be the last year they are produced.

A decent investment, too, methinks.
