In a regular new figure we’re going to spotlight a member of the motor­cycling community and ask our dear readers to identify the vehicle and the rider, if possible, thereof.

We might even ask for a caption from you witty rapscallions.

In all honesty, we’ve been trying to work out whether this fellah (on the yellow machine in the foreground) is actually more of a backwoodsman than a biker.

And what the hell is he doing with that axe? And what the hell is he riding?

    from memory these were.or some of them at least,2wd front and rear wheels driven.i do know they were popular amongst fat american hunters and outdoors types

    It’s right — it’s a Cushman Trailster Diesel — 5 or 7 hp. (Clutch lever only.…)  Don’t know of a 2xWD — the weight on small but wide wheels might compromise it’s usefulness on deep, muddy trails. Lots for sale and renovate on the good ‘olé net.

    His name is Clitus and the axe is for dealing with any p***-takers. He don’t have the wordly wise web as he calls it, but he plays a mean banjolele.

    you are doubtless right but remember in classic american magazine (an offshoot of street machine magazine…remember those 2.lol) an article on these type of bikes.am certain there was a 2wd,possibly only a prototype though.from what i remember on the article the sales liter­ature had a photo with a small very dead bambi slung over the rear luggage rack thing.
