This weekend at Silverstone there’s an opportunity to check out some full blooded sportscar action. The Le Mans series is an evocative formula: an opportunity to get familiar with real endurance racing in advance of that inevitable pilgrimage to Circuit de la Sarthe.
It is endurance racing where the classic marques, including Porsche, Ferrari and Aston still get to tussle head-to-head — and it’s well worth an early autumn fix of motorsport before the clocks go back and weather closes in.
