"[gallery link="file"] We're unashamed fetishists of automotive design and spend an unhealthy time online and at various car events sifting through the voluminous back catalogue of a century of car culture. Our mission, dear reader, is to dig out "
Don’t get us wrong. We’d normally say driving gloves are a style no-no.
Unless you’re at the wheel of a pre 1960 sports car, we reckon stringbacks should be firmly confined to the Alan Partridge-esque mickey takes of the motoring world.
Recently, however, we tried on a pair of these soft leather jobbies from Officine Autodromo – and we have to say, they look cool, feel beautifully tactile- and dare we say it, they bring out the dormant McQueen in us.
Think about it – you could easily wear these doing stuff other than driving – but we suppose the purity of design might make you want to own that ‘fifties sports car. And for that, we can only find praise.
But it’s the artwork we really dig.
