Moto Guzzi Classic Love

Now, we’ve blathered on at length about our youthful obsession with Moto Guzzi’s 850 le mans Mk1. But we can’t shake the addiction.

Every now and then we HAVE to wile away a windswept few minutes over a cuppa, to trawl the web for images of the pure, beautiful symmetry of the brand’s timeless way of making motorcycles.

It’s the beautiful symmetry of the configuration of the classic Moto Guzzi engine which is followed through to rest of the bikes’ build.

The frame seems to encapsulate the engine perfectly without cluttering, obscuring, or over-egging the look – unlike that of steroid-augmented rides like for example, Yamaha’s techno brute The V-Max.

We suppose form follows function perfectly here – and as we know this is usually a winning formula for successful design.
